Hi! I'm Bart Bonte, a Belgian independent game designer and bontegames.com is where I blog about new interesting browser and mobile games. My own games are all in the left column (or at the bottom of this page on mobile). More info about me and my games on bartbonte.com.

Couldn't play to the web version, tried downloading for Windows. The first time my screen just went black. It loaded the second try. Now, I don't seem to understand what to do. From The Witness I deduce I have to "play" with those machines but I don't know how. It's also very hard to control without a mouse. I use a laptop + graphic tablet and it's chaotic. I tried with the laptop pad but it's just too complicated...
The web version loaded fine for me, but like Yu I don't know what to do. I gather from the "joke game" description that I'm supposed to figure it out for myself, but I guess the joke is on me...
To find out what to do: make sure you have your sound on...
I found it very hard to get the game to work in browser on OSX (M1 macbook) — chrome threw a WebGL error and played sound, Safari played sound and showed an off-white screen with a yellow corner, while Firefox managed to let me interact with the menu but then loaded the game in silhouette and then froze altogether and refused to load the game ever again. Meanwhile the mac download initially claimed that it was damaged and couldn't be opened, though I was able to fix this with the terminal command xattr -cr on the app file.. phew! The game is really fun though — I now feel like I have never been more expert in differentiating mouth sounds :D
the d's and l's were incredibly difficult for me - i ended up relying mostly on slight vowel variations. one of the sh's was also close to indistinguishablei wonder why w, v, and β are back there?
I found it tedious after clearing the first couple of "houses". Sound quality wasn't great, (crackling), and the "joy" of trying to differentiate the extremely similar sounds quickly wore off. I'm tapping out....
Ah, now I get I can click on things... I was trying buttons lol
Hehehe, it's actually easy, I'm just having trouble with controls. Sounds are easy to tell apart and the sequences are short (for the moment?). I think this could be a good hearing exercise.
I feel like I'm in some sort of bilingual nightmare.8/10, sha/shaa/shaw was rough.
It crashes my browser (ff), but downloadable version (win) works just fine. First I tought this game is totally crazy, but I could not resist to play until the end. :-D I found it amazing that at some panel some buttons are sounded totally the same at first, but after listening them again and again, how can my ears/brain start to recognize the slight differences.
Can't believe i finished that. Not sure how i feel about it.
I actually found this very difficult haha
