Hope he didn't forget his wallet ... If the first few rooms are the pattern, he'll never get back inside again. :)

By "oddly shaped", do you mean the fact that it's taller than it is wide?
That's probably to make it more accessible to phone users.
I really liked the "levels of reality" thing going on in this game.
