any hint for level 6?

I can't for the life of me figure out how to get past level one. Any help?
For level 1:
push yellow down
go right
push yellow all the way up
go left
push purple all the way down
and then push the 2 pairs together

This was a good one. Still not getting #5 though.
finally solved level 6!
here's a hint:
the first quick reaction would be to push the horizontal one up to the vertical one, but then you have no room. The solution is to get the same fusion one space below, getting to push the vertical one down to the center of the horizontal one.
