I had a bit of a head start on this one, and I managed to solve it without any hints :) Be warned that several of the puzzle clues and solutions change from one playing to the next, so you won't be able to simply copy someone else's solution.

Anonymous said...

That was great! Was stuck for awhile at the last bit, but it was all very logical.

Anonymous said...

omg! took me 2 hours to get out of that dang room!

-k said...

I enjoyed this one very much. Thanks, Bart!

Anonymous said...

that wasn't terribly hard, just time consuming - lots of steps

Anonymous said...

I have found two pieces a pda? and a mouse? And now have no clue what to do or where to click. Walkthrough please.

How do you get the key off the scroll to open the right drawer?

Thijs said...

@anon (28 September 2011 13:23):

SPOILER

Do you need to take the key off to be able to stick it in the lock?

Thijs said...

Finished, was almost tempted to look for a walkthrough. The puzzles aren't hard to solve, it's finding them that is the challenge.

One particular thing that held me back quite a bit was not realizing I could turn over the ipad.

how work out the clock combanation on box

Anonymous said...

you can use the key on the scroll u dont need 2 unlock it just use it

Anonymous said...

I have the scroll with the key on it and am trying to unlock the right side desk drawer but it won't open. What am I doing wrong?

Anonymous said...

Nevermind I was trying to unlock the fartest right hand drawer with the citcles on it.

Rava said...

Yeah, I'm out! But I got stuck several times, it was not so easy!

Moreover, this afternoon I couldn't access the Bontegames site and I had to reach Kotorinosu site through Google! XD

The collar on the cat is blinking green, red, blue, purple, yellow green I try and enter those on the color wheel and it won't open...how do you open that aggravating little box?

mb said...

HELP PLZ
i got the red handle for the puzzle on the wall...but cant figure out the smileys order! i think they refer to letters upside down but what's the word?

Anonymous said...

M, O, W, X, E, A, U

mb said...

thank 4 replying anon.21:04 :) but its not working!! :( i entered the letters mowxeau from right to left, whats wrong?

Anonymous said...

I don't know mb, the "letters" should work.... it's the power strip upside down, it's a possibility that the code is different for every person...look at your power strip again upside down so that the right side is now your left and the letters are inverted.

mb said...

ok thank u ill try...but anw how did u even get ur own code?

Anonymous said...

mb I didn't understand your question?

mb said...

i mean how did u know the code was
M,O,W,X,E,A,U

Anonymous said...

on the power strip the two plugs are on the bottom and a letter above each set. On the code box it is the opposite. So if you look at the power strip upside down for example a M becomes a W the O and X stay the same and so on.

Can someone help me with the cats collar and colors. I'm entering the colors as the flash from left to right on the code box but nothing happens?

jaymar said...

For the cat's collar:

HINT:
What do you see on the collar besides the flashing lights?

STRONGER HINT:

.... (and what order is it in?)

Anonymous said...

AHA!!!! Thank You Very Much Jaymar...I was clicking the middle button after entering the color code.

madison said...

I am almost at the end it is when the women with the fan went up and the puzzle with arrow and I don't know what to do?

madison said...

And with the box with the parts I'm missing one

jaymar said...

Madison (and others when you get to the same place):

HINT:
Look at the scroll. Look very very carefully at the scroll. Look again!

I am at the spinning wheel with the suits of cards....I click the suit as it passes under clicker in the order of the picture on the phone but it doesn't do anything...what am I doing wrong?

jaymar said...

Anon 22:32

HINT:
You need to combine the phone picture with another item found in the room. The layout (the shape of 5 rectangles) is the same.

I totally forgot about that shelf...thank you jaymar your an excellent aide.

Oh my goodness I am so close but when I place all the gears in the window and turn the machine on it doesn't turn on? Any help?

Rosadosa said...

Where can i find the gears? I just got the thing on weels to roll into the hole in the wall.. but what now? Also don't know what to do about the counting thing, i thought it had something to do about the numbers on the shelf. But i don't know how to get 5 when i only have 4 beads on the sticks..

Anonymous said...

FINALLY OUT!!!! Thank You Jaymar between you and the walkthrough I was able to do it oh in only about half a day.

Anonymous said...

Rosadosa, here is a link to the walkthrough...hope it helps you...

jaymar said...

Anon 23:10

I never saw a clue for that part, so there was a lot of trial and error. There are many ways to arrange the gears. Follow these rules and try different options:

Don't inter-mesh gears (this is one of the hints on the scroll, but also just plain mechanics).

Only the three larger gears at the top and sides make things happen, so you have to connect them to the bottom gear.

More than one of the top and side large gears can be connected to the bottom gear at the same time.

Anonymous said...

To Jaymar From Anon 23:10....I finally was able to place the gears in the correct spots and it worked and I am out. Thank You for your help!

Gwenneth said...

Phew, finally made it. I did need a few hints though :-(
Great game though!

NotMarian said...

Whew!! That was very fun. I needed help several times, but I'm proud to say that I figured out some of the puzzles on my own. The gears thing at the end was really hard, but then I started thinking about the Exit clue from the scroll and that helped me figure out where to place the small gears so that the big gears would turn in the right direction.
Love escape games!!!

In case anyone is like me, and stuck WAY early in the going, I have this suggestion:

There is a nearly invisible panel next to the cat.

I had to get help just because I have horrible vision, apparently. :)

Jessica said...

IS THERE ANY WAY TO TURN THE SOUND OFF?? if so, PLEASE let me know!! XP XO

mb said...

thanks a lot TiCKed i didn't see that 2...but now its becoming easy :D

Jessica said...

i think i've tried like EVERY plausible combination of robot key turns and nothing is working. all i need to know is what side of each key to turn! that's all i need to know! basically, does "[>" mean the left or right side of the <> key! that's ALL i need to know! and no one seems to be able to tell me! SOME HELP PLEASE?? x__x

Anonymous said...

Is the terrible noise part of the puzzle? I'll give it another try. It looks interesting but hardish.

Queen Fume-Boo said...

AAGGGHH!! This is really hard! What do I connect to the power cord, and does the pattern on the end mean anything??

-k said...

@ Jessica:
Look at the fan, the side of the fold that the shape appears on is the direction it needs to be turned. For example, if it is on the left side, touch the left side of the key.

-k said...

@ Queen:

The power cord gets attached to a power strip you find somewhere else. The pattern on the end of the cord (near the wall) is the clue to the picture frame-like puzzle at the top of the bookshelf.

dyork said...

Wow! That was a long one!

All perfectly fair and reasonable puzzles, no shortcuts, good clues but too many red herrings and a few possible bugs.

Did the strange noises mean anything?

Why did the clock keep speeding up?

How could putting the dead battery in the cat bring it to life?

What did 11-11-11 on the clock mean?

Why a cog on the back of the robot? and where did it go for so long?

And why did the machine jam up solid with no exit, so I had to restart at least 4 times?

Frustrating at times, but ultimately one of the good ones. Count me in for the next from this author.

Stevens Miller said...

Wow, that was a good one!

-k said...

@ dyork:

My assumption was that the cat was a charging station for the battery. Without a dead battery to charge, it is inactive.

Queen Fume-Boo: said...

@ -k:

Thank you!! That helped a bit. I just wish they would give more explicit hints. [I'm no good at escape games :) ]

Anonymous said...

How do I do look at the hints?

Anonymous said...

I've got the phone. I took the battery out. I found the red thing with the eyes behind the thing on the wall and I put it on the other thing. What is the very next step? I have clicked everywhere. I have tried to give the dead battery to the cat but nothing happens. What am I not doing?
