P.S. for comment above : you used the wrong translation for the french. it is supposed to be tres bien. tros means too much

very cute game.............

There is a modern idiom in English of the phrase "too good!" It means something like: "this thing is so good that I'm overwhelmed!" Literally, that would translate into French as "trop bien." However, it is possible that Francophones have not used that phrase in the same idiomatic way. Maybe we should ask Minoto for help!

Anonymous said...

maybe, but the french do not translate that way. i am fluent in french, and that is the wrong use of the word

I'm french, and "trop bien" has the both senses.
Fist, it can mean "too good", in a sentence like " c'est trop bien pour ce que je peux en faire" = too good you don't worth it.
But, when in a little exclamation, it just mean the same thing as "très bien", "very good", just a little bit more familiar.

I hope I made it clear :p

maybe, but if you would like to sound the slightest bit smart, you would use tres bien because that is most indefinately the BETTER way to say it. but i mean, go on saying it your way i just hope that you dont regularly use it this way :)

Okay, after reading these interesting french comments, i would just like to say, that as challenged as the supposedly "french" person may be, you cannot make an argument if your life depended on it. i swear, you are immature, just saying. OH! and if you didn't already know, just saying is the new "no offense" or "who cares, like pfftt!!" :D

Well, I am french from france, french is my first langage, and i used to say "trop bien" like 10 times per day, when i was teen, and i still hear it from teens.
However, really good game!

mhmm well i am french-canadian, so I use the dialect properly. but good game
