the dream machine demo

The dream machine demo is a nice short demo for an upcoming new point and click game, or have I just been dreaming all this?

o and spin

Hm... all I can do is make the guy spin around in a circle... It says I can pick things up but it won't let me. The animation was neat though... looks like it could be a cool game once it's finished.

Cool. I made a fire, caught a fish and cooked it. He ate it and there is a map inside.

Haven't found the 'x' spot yet.

Looking forward to the completed game!

Update: I was able to find the 'x' spot. Dug it out with the shovel. An alarm clock takes you to him sleeping in bed.

Examined some boxes then went out the open door.

End of demo. Complete game due out possibly in April

Looks very promising...
I just wish people wouldn't reveal everything there is to find in the comments. It spoils the fun, dont you think?
A comment is your view on the game, the pro's and cons you see, how you rate the game etc.
A walkthrough is NOT a comment.
It's like going a much anticipated movie, and then have a jerk in the row behind you telling explaining everything that's going to happen... Kinda beats the point of seeing the movie, or playing the game, knwowaddamean?

papagali, is this your first time on this site? If you click on comments you should expect to find walkthroughs and people helping each other in every post from now on. If you go back and read the other posts you'll see the same thing.

So I recommend what I do, play it first and then read the comments, unless there's only one or two those are usually ratings, the rest are almost always people helping each other out.

If you can´t do anything, try the game in Explorer.

There seem to be real problems with this "game". Using IE7, all I get is 2 footprints moving around - can't pick up anything. Using both FF and GChrome, I actually see the guy, can get him to turn around but that is all.

Is there some hint about how to pick things up and do things - some people seem to be able to, and on one game website, some even get from the island to a bedroom etc - what is needed for most of us mere mortals to play the game?

Any suggestions Bart? Or can you at least pass these comments on to the developers as this is a demo - I suspect the full version won't get much attention if the bugs aren't sorted.

It's working fine for me both in InternetExplorer and Firefox with flash player10. Perhaps this game needs the latest flash player 10.
Get the latest flash player here:

Cheers!

Nooo - that didn't change anything, and I even also installed the latest DirectX DirectX10 (3D apparently) - still no difference.

I remain mystified.

i've noticed that there are a few glitches in the game...just refresh the game and try to play it again.

Thanks for the suggestion, but still no progress, so unless someone can suggest what is needed to play this one, I, and from the sounds of it, many others, will just give it a miss.

Or is it possible that this is compatible with Vista but not XP3?

and yes, still mystified!!

OOohhh, looks great, can't wait for the full game. Reminds me of the old Microsoft game called The Neverhood (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Neverhood)

I love claymation!

Hi Bart,

Something that might suggest why this game works on some computers but not others - I tried it on my other computer and it all worked. So...

Game worked on:
Intel® Corel(TR)2 Duo CPU E8200, 2.66GHz, 2.00 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE, 512mb.

Game didn’t work on:
Intel® Pentium® Dual CPU E2200, 2.20GHz, 2.00 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT, 512 MB

Still sort of mystified, but I guess this game needs more than 2.2GHz

A fairly basic sort of thing that teh developers need to specify so people who don't have more than 2.2GHz won't get really annopyed and frustrated.

Cheers

Thanks for all the investigations Mistified! :)

It worked on my XP P3-1Ghz, 256MB machine, with a 16 MB generic video laptop. I think it may be the IE version, are you using 7.0 both my home tower and laptop use 7 but XP comes standard with 6 so if you didn't upgrade that may be the issue.

It could also be an addon issue, neither of my computers have any random addons on IE7.

Hi Jason

Nice thought but both computers have the same IE7. There appears to be no real logic to the problem.

Still Mystified
