I am not getting any response to the tab key.
I tried both Firefox & Chrome.
I presume it is needed as it says so slightly off to the right.
Please let me know if I am a complete idiot.

There is no need for tab

There actually is a use for tab. It copies your last input down making it much easier to add on to or modify the ends of your inputs. I didnt get a response from it at first but try holding it down, it moves slowly and seemed to take a few seconds to stick.

Meh, it's okay I guess. It would be less tedious if we could see the path as we enter runes instead of having to visualize it all at once. It's also pretty trivial to solve once you know how they work; the only real interest is in optimizing solutions. I got it down to 98 total, but I'm sure I could have saved some more.

after going back and redoing the earlier puzzles, i'm down to 81 runes B)

When are the walkthroughs being posted?

You go from circle through diamond to square while avoiding triangle.
A = move a space
C = turn 90 clockwise
R = triple next
It said I did 22 of 18 puzzles?

I guess I'm stupid; I have no clue what to do other than move around.

Well, not quite true; I do see that I'm supposed to type in certain letters at certain places. But after getting though the first door and approaching the first post beyond it, I'm at a complete loss about what letters to enter.

Anonymous said...

Andy the letters you are allowed to use were the same that you used to open that door.

I got it down to 82 runes, guess there's still some puzzle to improve.

I'm with Andy. I just don't get it. A=triangle, then there is a circle and a square. What??

Try typing A into the part where there is a circle and square then press enter. Rot 13 Spoiler: Lbh unir zbir sebz gur pvepyr gb gur fdhner hfvat gur yrggref lbh hfrq gb bcra gur qbbe.

Okay, thanks to Anonymous I got though the second door. Now the next pillar is confusing me
again. Should I be concerned that the Tab buffer appears to have a 28-character limit, or is there something else I'm missing?

Clearly, I'm a slow learner.

For normal play through you never have to use the tab key. Rot 13: Lbh abj unir npprff gb gur P xrl juvpu vf urycshy lbh jba'g haqrefgnaq jung vf tbvat ba hagvy lbh qb pbzznaqf yvxr NPN.

Okay, if I understand you (re: the tab key), all it does is save retyping. The maximum characters allowed is the same either way.

... And, yes, I've moved on. Now it's just a matter of understanding how the runes work together.

Andy said...

... And, done. 174 runes, obviously far from optimal, but I'll live with it. Thanks for the help.
