Don't leave your sapphire in the Mayan calendar looking thing and go elsewhere in the level. I did it and it ate my sapphire, had to restart.
I hate video walkthroughs because you can't just skip to the part you're interested in, and half the time, they give away stuff you didn't need to know yet.
I detest video walk-throughs.
(Very nice game though...and the walkthrough they gave wasn't a video so I like them after all!)
