Help. I am trapped pulling random switches around a gem.

Have you tried jumping high as you can or falling as far as you can and have you checked the corners?

This has too many tile types for me. I can't visually "parse" the scene and figure out where I can and can't move, or which bricks I can break.

Agreed

Yep!

I Got the gem but can't fight now I There are too many mobs & chain/ gates!

Yeah, got the gem, now have hands full and no idea wtf I'm supposed to do or go

Neat idea, but needs a bit more direction on what to do after getting the gem and losing attack/block

You set down the gem by pressing down, which regains the attack ability. It also wraps the screen, making some areas accessible that wouldn't be otherwise.

I made it as far as the snake maze, but now I'm stuck there. It looks like you have to activate three switches, but I can only get to two of them.

Also agreed

Jeeeeeeesh it took me so many tries, but I finally finished. I kept giving up, and accidentally losing progress. I thought I softlocked myself twice, so I started over. Found out that I couldn't softlock myself.

It was rewarding to finish 😭

Any hints for the snake maze?

It says "starry eyes." Where are the stars, and where are the eyes?

first, you have to push all switches

(to open new paths)

some switches can be pulled & pushed so I have to ask.
was the last comment precisely correct about pushing all ?

If I remember correctly, initially all the switches are in the down position, so they need to be raised. The switches change the status of the small bricks with the symbols.

eyes are the snakes eyes, stars need to be turned on

Left hand key to jump sucks! What's wrong with the standard "up arrow" or "space bar"???

So far everything has been do-able, you just have to look carefully where the screen wraps to get to another area.

I'm currently stuck on the part past the snakes. I can get to the altar with three symbols at the 9, 12, and 3 o-clock positions (circle, star, & crescent), and to some other altars (the only one that seems it might be significant is all the way to the right of the board, and on the top, it has an altar with three circles at the 12, 3, and 6 o-clock positions).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

For the snake room, you need to raise the snakes up so they are looking at the star blocks

OK, I made it to a room with seven switches, six in a row (blank, circle, blank, star, blank, tree?, and a switch in the upper right hand corner that flips things top to bottom), but where's the hint as to how to set them?

Any hints for the room after the snake puzzle, the one with seven switches, six in a row (blank, circle, blank, star, blank, tree?, and a switch in the upper right hand corner that flips things top to bottom)?
