You don't open it. Find another way to get the key.
Fun puzzle and I made it! Whew!

26 minutes... had the right idea with the shard, but clicked at the wrong spot. :(
I never used the shard but still figured it out.
How and where do you use the piece of glass?
The clue in the pill bottle explained enough that a pen and paper solved the rest.

After you scratch the first few numbers off, you use the glass chard on the wall next to it.
I did it!!! With NO help whatsoever - that doesn't happen very often which is why I feel so happy!! I love these puzzles when I can figure them out!
