It's very pretty I give it that. Not sure I got much out of the puzzle design, tbh. Also the abrupt looping of the music was a strange choice.
I liked it. A bit repetitive. The pretty rainbow pixel fish make this game-- perhaps the game title could have reflected the illumination, colors, or spectra. The shark is not so much attacking but rather bumping its nose in a dark, underwater maze until it engulfs a bioluminescent fish and absorbs its bioluminescence like a superpower to push rainbow sokoban blocks. 🍽️
The design is pretty, but the mechanic basically ensures a brute force approach of multiple attempts, which gets more like a simon memory game level of remembering the path vs any actual puzzle
I don't know if I would call groping around in the dark a puzzle since there is always only one way to do each level.
why do I have to restart sometimes, but can use Z other times?
I keep coming back to this game. Surprisingly calming
You can use Z if you wake a red eye, but if you have to restart with X if you die from shark teeth.
The last level reminds me of the DOS game, Chip's Challenge :)
Kinda like the opposite of the "Continental Shelf" game. While "Continental Shelf" makes you play as fish avoiding sharks, this game makes you play as a shark attacking fish! (To see better)
OMG - Chip's Challenge! I spent week's worth of lunch hours getting thru all those levels.
There is an undo key, which can even undo across deaths.
You can still undo with Z even after restarting, btw.
