gnomitaire [browser]

Take a seat in Card Crawl's cozy tavern and play a round of Gnomitaire, a solitaire style card game by Arnold Rauers.

I tried to play a spade on a column with a club and a diamond, where the bottom card showed a spade, and it wouldn't let me do it. Screencap is https://stevensrmiller.github.io/Pictures/gnomitaire.png. Did I misunderstand the rules?

It won't let you play a card that leads to a dead end.
However you can swap around a lot to finish.

Oh, thanks. I did miss that. (Is it in the tutorial?). Seems like it ought to, though, so you can turn up the next card in a draw pile, then swap it later to finish that run. Maybe that's not necessary, but it's what I'd expect. Appreciate your help in understanding it. I find I can play games pretty well, but making sense of the rules is often the hard part for me.

Fun, short twist on Solitaire. Really appreciate the thought that went into the game play and graphics. After placing a card in a column, I like how the suit symbols at the bottom of each card 'gray out' to indicate which suits can still be played Thanks, Arnold and Bart!
