I fininshed the game, even the bonus levels, and I am still not sure about all the rules (U and L signed fields, apple vs. leafs). :-D Trial and error helped sometimes. The game is cute and I enjoyed it!
U is an Or gate (if at least one entry is lit then it lights up), L is Negation.
