Walkthrough
1. click the middle of the fan, youll see Wind (w and d are darker than the rest... note this)
2. click the top lump on the fan's cover. it says People (P and E are darker... note this)
3. go to back, click the motor compartment to zoom into it, then click just above it.
4. click the little knob. for a split second you'll see the word Develop. (D and P are darker... Note this)
5. go back to the front and click the stand. therell be 4 buttons and the word Energy (the E is darker. note again)
6. return
7. click just under the base of the fan to see the bottom. theres a 4-letter code you need...
8. remember the dark letters?
they were:
W,D
P,E
D,P
E
order these so that the ending letter of the first pair matches the beginning letter of the next pair, then take away all double-ups of letters to find the 4 letter code ===> WDPE
9. unscrew (finally!) the base and open it.

it does say walkthrough, that's a pretty good indication that it's a spoiler... and people usually ask for one eventually. if you don't want the spoiler, don't read it! I can't connect to it, it says i need flash but I already have it.
I have set the 4 letters to WDPE and i have unscrew the base, but what about yet? what did i must do yet? please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ah, third time's the charm, it let me connect... got the base off, now stuck... can also plug/unplug one piece, but other than that nothing clicks.
One of the lousier puzzles. It's a lazy man's way to just throw word based cyptological puzzles, not like the usual dismantling of every single part.
Beat it, partially thanks to a walkthrough I found, although this is the first kaitai i've managed to figure anything out on my own
here is a hint to help.. you have to push the button as many times as there are dots on them.
This was fun. Interesting, the clues were so obvious once I had a little guidance! Not so much all on my own...
I'm stuck on this one. Got the front of the fan off, now I can turn the middle left or right, but can't figure out the sequence. Not understanding the clues, either. Feeling stupid. I think I'll go to bed and try again tomorrow.
look in the upper right hand corner for the clue to get the fan blade off
