heya room [browser]

My holiday break has come to an end so it's back to solving puzzles! Can you make your escape from Heya Room by Migilua?

  1. Very cool. I had fun playing.
I found an issue where if you click too quickly opening a certain box you get an item you are supposed to get later (platform for dial scale), and could lock yourself out of getting an item if you blindly put it on too quickly like I did.
I have already reported the bug, so if it happens to you a reset is required.

    2. It appears that he's fixed that. He also fixed the setting that said "Supser Sampling", which was something I reported. And the rest of the links on his site weren't working, but they now are. Glad to see that he's receptive to feedback.

  3. I ran into a game stopping issue as well, Using LMDE6 and Brave, I was unable to water the book. Ended up finding the walkthrough, applied the solution the book was supposed to give me and couldn't proceed, presumably because I hadn't exposed the clue. A shame, as it was a good experience up to that point.

    1. Did you cut the top off of the bottle with the knife first?

  4. It was fun! Also is it just me or am I not able to play the other two escape games? Every time I click on them nothing happens.

  5. It's not just you. They redirect you back. Don't know why, but that's what they do.

Heya Room was a very good escape puzzle. Refreshing to see the inventory used more extensively than in most escapes.

    1. Examine the frame itself very carefully.

    2. I don't have another key...

    3. The back of the frame is a hint.

    4. Also: Have you found the 4-digit code yet? You have to open the book to find the hint for it.

  7. Nice one. I liked that spring in the box lids when they bounce open.

  8. Clever, and logical, which are the best compliments an escape game can get, as far as I'm concerned. My only major error could have been remedied by remembering what the handle of the knife looked like! (Hint)

  10. Are these really new? They seem familiar.

  11. Heya Room offers a setting under "Options" to use smooth camera transitions, as opposed to just changing position instantly. However, it has a bug in it such that the camera seems to jump slightly into a new, albeit nearby, place before commencing a smooth flight to the next location.

Now, "Betta Room" does not have have this bug. I'd be very interested in know if people prefer the smooth glide animation in "Betta Room," or do they prefer the instantaneous jump.

  13. My only complaint is the dial turning combo lock.

  14. Once I have an axe, why do I even bother solving more puzzles??? Just break down the door or window!
