Tip for the second race: slow the speed down to the middle-ish (you want the opponent fast enough that when you switch the finish line, they will move further away from the right edge of the screen than you).
Cute until the spark chasing scene. Then my mouse kept getting stuck to one draggable and I couldn't control the next without some fiddling...and by then the spark was dead.
the rodent is a mouse. you can set up a right click shortcut (or long-cut as it may be) on your chromebook in the settings. it ends up being alt or ctrl and mouse click. hope this helps.
Work with the semicircle and large triangle shapes first. There is only one semicircle that works, and one large triangle shape that has the right smaller triangle underneath - you need to build it towards the left hand side of the screen.
I like that there are speed run videos of this game already on youtube, the fastest sems to be 15 min ish and that is someone who already solved everything and is practicing...... VERY long game it seems
in case someone looking for secrets : I haven't found all, but I can give you some hints. (ROT13) Svefg frperg vf va gur thvqnapr fperra ng gur ortvaavat. Made it to the final screen, which further demonstrates where the game is an unintentional stressor for those like me with their mental disorders, mine being autism and ADHD, and possibly those I'm hoping I'm not diagnosed with but might still be like OCD. (Emphasis on *unintentional*.)
I bailed on "adjust the brightness" and watched the video. A shame in that there were a few puzzles later that looked fun, but not so much that I wanted to go though all that to get there. The video I watched had a guy inching his way to 1000 with constant additions, painful to watch. Still, that's all on me, the game was unique and well made for the willing.
I've spent most of the day trying to get the timing correct on the "Please Adjust the Brightness" puzzle, before realizing that I could control the timing of the adjustments. Pressing the space bar brings up the brightness options. After that it took like 30 seconds to beat. The most frustrating part of this game is trying to figure out the controls for each level.
Finally beat it, but the timing on some of those and having to switch between mouse and keyboard with split second precision was frustrating! Those level should have been keyboard only.
I beat it, also did you do the scavenger hunt with the help of the clues? I wonder if there are people who managed to find the secrets without looking at the clues. I bet only a few.
This game is great! I really enjoyed it. Sometimes it is a bit frustrating, but not impossible to beat it. The hardest part for me was to find the secret section with the hints... :-D I think the bonus part was longer than the game itself! :-) I would vote it for one of the 10 best games of this blog. :-)
Stuck on the racing scene!
ReplyDeleteFirst or second? 'Cause the second one is a The Cheat.
DeleteLet the race start. Quickly skip to the fan and drag it to push the chap back. Then quickly skip to the end to win
DeleteI'm also stuck on the second racing scene, even if I play with the flip button, the character reappears too slowly to win so I'm not sure what to do
DeleteTip for the second race: slow the speed down to the middle-ish (you want the opponent fast enough that when you switch the finish line, they will move further away from the right edge of the screen than you).
DeleteI don't get it
ReplyDeleteMe either
DeleteHow to begin?
DeleteOn one of the screens it literally says Type 123.
DeleteCute until the spark chasing scene. Then my mouse kept getting stuck to one draggable and I couldn't control the next without some fiddling...and by then the spark was dead.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't solve the "Right on the Rodent" and other remaining five parts to open that seal.
ReplyDeleteclick right
DeleteAs in the word “right” or right click? Cause I’m playing on my Chromebook.
Deletethe rodent is a mouse. you can set up a right click shortcut (or long-cut as it may be) on your chromebook in the settings. it ends up being alt or ctrl and mouse click. hope this helps.
DeleteI don;t get the bulb puzzle. Anyone?
ReplyDeleteStart the engine then touch the engine to start a spark. Then help the spark reach the bulb...Good Luck!
DeleteI'm stuck with the "reproduce the logo" puzzle. It's just too stressful and I always run out of time before figuring out how to place the pieces.
ReplyDeleteI too am stuck here. I have noticed the parts do not reset their location but I have no idea where to start.
DeleteWork with the semicircle and large triangle shapes first. There is only one semicircle that works, and one large triangle shape that has the right smaller triangle underneath - you need to build it towards the left hand side of the screen.
DeleteSpoiler alert. Chromebooks don't have F4 keys.
ReplyDeleteSolving the Laugh Out Loud thing caused the game screen to go dark. Is there a coding bug?
ReplyDeleteI don't get past the mazes and I must quit playing or else we will be needing a new computer. And desk. And husband.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if this is an exaggeration, but I think this is one of the most creative games in the world
ReplyDeleteStuck on the Winding Way Advisory Board logo. I think it has a relation to the arrow keys.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm on the second race.

ReplyDeleteAny help with the Medusa screen?
ReplyDeleteThe shield on the first screen is draggable.
DeleteI like that there are speed run videos of this game already on youtube, the fastest sems to be 15 min ish and that is someone who already solved everything and is practicing...... VERY long game it seems
ReplyDeleteI've seen it. Unfortunately, he skipped every secret crates.
DeleteWhere can I find them?
Deletein case someone looking for secrets : I haven't found all, but I can give you some hints.

DeleteThe delay of the space bar to advance scenes when it requires you to be quick is beyond annoying!!!
ReplyDeleteFinally beat it, but the timing on some of those and having to switch between mouse and keyboard with split second precision was frustrating! Those level should have been keyboard only.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if most optimal, but a fast way to 1000 is 5x5=25, x4=100, +11 =111, x9=999, +1=1000
ReplyDeleteHow are you adding 11?? Just do 1+9=10, 10x5=50, 50x5=250, 250x4=1000 - skip by dividing by 1 and adding and subtracting 0 as necessary.
DeleteSecrets were fun, although I was bad at the scavenger hunt lol. Anyone manage to beat the rock-skipping section? I noped out.
ReplyDeleteI beat it, also did you do the scavenger hunt with the help of the clues? I wonder if there are people who managed to find the secrets without looking at the clues. I bet only a few.

ReplyDeleteCan't find the secret on 4 - Click Drag. The clue is Within Vapor
DeleteFound all the others
Hint: vapor=clouds, they are on the bulb screen. Nothing complicated, but easy to miss... just keep looking the clouds!
DeleteI can't make the friend on a non american keyboard. The keys I'm expected to press are not the ones where those symbols are.
ReplyDeleteYou only need to solve 10 of the puzzles on that level to proceed. If you can solve all the others, you don't need the friend.
