2025 is almost over, and as tradition goes here at bontegames, it’s time to highlight my personal favorites from all the games featured on the blog this year!

Looking back at my own 2025, I release one new game: Leaving Home. The game was featured as Game of the Day on the Apple App Store and got a global editorial feature on the Google Play Store.
Another personal 2025 highlight was having the honor of being interviewed by Google and seeing the feature promoted globally on the Play Store.

But of course there’s more to come, I’ve got some really exciting projects brewing, so I hope to see you all back here for more! My best wishes to each and everyone of you for 2026!

  2. Type Help by William Rous was also my #1 favorite of the year. Another one I enjoyed was the one-screen puzzler Reduce Yourself by Late Nine.

  3. I'm glad dragonsweeper made the list, but I would have put it on top, I've played that game almost every day since it dropped in January.. I think I found it on itch a few days before you posted it, GREAT GAME. I wish we could play the pre-update version from, I 'member it being different but It's been so long I cant exactly remember it.

    id also rec showy homes (like wordle witha twist ) and disconcordia (this one also felt like type help)
