lil kobold's big stew [browser]
A little kobold needs to collect special ingredients for his big stew in the latest puzzler by Adam Saltsman: Lil Kobold's Big Stew. Controls: cursor keys + X key.
Totally cool...until I escape the spider zone, and discover that the flower I planted in the very beginning is blocking the path back to the start room. Need to start over. No thanks.
I think that is intentional, with the help of the spider you can find an other way back to the stew. I am stuck after 2 ingridients, I think I can see the next path, but I cannot go there, maybe earlier I used a one-time green path accidentally. A real undo button would be helpful, the undo in the game takes back to the last tool replacement, sometimes it is too far.
The last thing you interact with (chop a tree, change your tools, etc ...) will be the point you go back to when you use the Z key. Whenever you're dragging a tool somewhere and pass another, changing it ittle back and forth will save a lot of walking if you accidentally box yourself in a corner.
That one makes my head hurt. Not only do you have to have the correct tool, you have to be facing the right way to use it. Gonna pass on this one.

ReplyDeleteI can tell a lot of work went into this. Easy to abandon but very satisfying if you push yourself somehow.
