a new bontegame: leaving home [news]

My new game is out today! Leaving Home, a point-and-click adventure filled with quirky puzzles, surreal surprises and moody tunes.
On mobile the game is free and ad-supported, download it now on the Apple App store or the Google Play store.
The PC version is a premium experience, you can get it from Steam or Itchio.
I poured my heart into this one, and I can't wait for you to experience it, so please join me on this new adventure!

  1. Glad to pay for this one on Steam. Have made it through Leaving Stairway, but was there a specific solution to the washer and dryer? It's easy to open them and turn their drums, but I don't think I had to do anything in particular with them to make it to the next room.

  2. Thank you! The washer and dryer have no function at that point in the game, maybe you will need them later on...

  4. That was short, sweet, and fun. I got all the puzzles on my own except the pictures on the wall on the last level. Those were all too obscure for me without the hint system. I could have persevered longer, but just chose not to. I do like hint systems that really do give hints, not just answers (or, just jump you past the puzzle altogether). This was a good one, and it was a good play experience, overall.

  6. Just completed all 20 achievements in Steam version. I really loved it.

  7. Thanks for the game, Bart! Met some 'old friends' and liked the puzzles. Not too easy, not too hard!

  8. Thank you Bart. Lovely, just the right level of difficulty for me. Surprising things to do. Love the music. Catherine

  10. I enjoyed it so much! Different from the previous games, but still so Bart Bonte! I like the small details, like throwing the toast on the table and it overslips. Reminded me for my mornings. :D I also love the pattern designer! Great work - again!

  11. Oh no! I'm stuck on what I think is the last level. Can I get a very small hint? The ad hint didn't tell me anything I didn't already figure out. I think I'm supposed to somehow control the cat or the ball to get them together, but 1) I don't see a ball anywhere and 2) I can't make out how the map works. I get that each room had a picture that matches but it still doesn't click for me. I really want to complete this mostly by myself so no answer please. Just a little nudge :)

  12. @Anonymous You need to do some other thing first before you will find the ball and you are right about the map, you need to solve that first.
Maybe you can make a path starting at the picture in the very first room until the room where you are now? Where could you 'enter' that path in this living room?

  13. That was great. Only got stuck when she was looking in the mirror. Didn't figure out you could drag the eyes around! After that, smooth sailing.

    1. The girl is looking at the mirror and see the face is broken. Drag her eyes, blush, and mouth to fix and become a normal face and turn into a background wave pattern.

  14. I think I moved the bowls in the kitchen too soon. I can't move them back to their original position. Hashtag newbie? Lol

  15. Bart, will there be a browser version of Purple after this? I've been waiting for a while

  16. Anonymous 5:09 here again. Thank you Bart! That was exactly what I needed!!!! I was so wrong that getting the ball was the last puzzle, that was only halfway there lol. This one was a totally different style from what we are used to from you, but still another home run! I don't know how you do you keep delivering! I like the Easter egg at the end. I'm not artistically inclined for the pattern creator but I like the idea and I'm sure you will get some interesting ones. Will you post a link to share them?

  17. Great game! Although I'm just wondering about something. How is the premium version different from the free version? Is it just the fact that one is ad-supported and the other is not?

  18. Great game. I had to use the clues twice, especially to figure out where to find those 3 damn red dots :) And always Bart's good touch !!

  21. Great puzzle! I also got stuck at the map/cat/ball. I hadn't been paying enough attention I guess on the way there. :)

  22. Liked it a lot, good level of difficulty for me, requires a bit of thought but not so much that I got stuck. Thanks!

  24. never disappointed with Bart's games. I'm a follower since the very beginning and always enjoyed playing these gems but this particular game, its meaning at the very end, touched me so deeply that I cried. Thanks Bart, from the bottom my heart

  26. Yeah, this game was really something! Fun puzzles, but I got stuck a few times. If you’re into those block breaker games, check this out .

  27. Overall I enjoyed this, but I found it unhelpful that when I was in the last room and wondering what to do, the hint system just said to go through the door, rather than telling me which room to go to for the next puzzle.

  28. This was incredibly fun, and the message at the end was so thoughtful. Great job as usual!

  29. I got this one on Android, and I enjoyed it very much! Enjoy to pay for it. ;-) It was very fun, and although it had vibes of some games before, it was in many ways unlike anything I've played before. The overall experience was very fresh and charming.
