the mr rabbit magic show [mobile, download]

Rusty Lake is turning 10, and they're throwing a magical party! To celebrate, they've released a new puzzle game: The Mr. Rabbit Magic Show! Available now as a free download on Apple App Store, Google Play, Steam and Itch.io. They've also premiered a special 10th anniversary short film: The Intern! Happy 10th birthday Rusty Lake, here's to many more years of mystery, puzzles, and surprises!

    The first dozen acts with Mr. Rabbit were very Bonte-esque. I did not understand the justification for the right choice at the end of Act 3.

      Ugh. That doesn't follow. The rest make sense as what you would discard in poker. There is no value to a poker hand of all odd cards. But thanks for the explanation.

      Don't think of it as a poker game. It's just a puzzle using poker card. Not everyone is familiar with poker game's rules and this puzzle definitely does not require them.

    So fun! I remember when their first game, Samsara Room, was posted here in 2013 and was chosen as the top browser game of that year. Time flies!

    The post-credits play is pretty deep. I did the blinds as in the clue, but nothing happened. What do you do with the bottom part of the same clue?

      Yeah, looks like I got that card by just messing with the blinds earlier. That's always a bit of a design problem for this kind of game. You don't have any easy way of knowing if you've previously solved a puzzle without knowing it. Some puzzles "lock up" once solved. You can't go back to them, or they stop interacting with you. That avoids the problem somewhat, but it makes the simulation less convincing. Hard to get the balance right.

    Just when you think you’re done, there’s more. The acts are only the beginning!! Stuck on the 4 code for the phone. I got all the numbers (I think), except the Harvey plush animal. But I brute forced all 10 combinations of the first number and no go, so I must be missing something.

    Make sure you stay through the credits. The post game environment is amazing! I was Rusty Laker of the Month! What an honor lol! And how awesome is it to see a real life world filled with all the props of the game you just played - intern nailed the game play! Thanks Rusty Lake! Here’s to 10 more years!!!!
