NIce combination of two mechanics. Another example of a puzzle where the solution came to me by thinking of how it might look when solved, and reversing my way back from there.
Nice. Struggled with it for a bit, then went away and had dinner, came back and got it immediately. My subconscious is quite clever, fortunately for me.
Isn't it interesting how often it appears our brains continue to work on a problem, even when we're not "thinking" about it? Like, in "Spelling Bee," where there is always at least one word that uses all seven letters, when I can't get the word quickly, I leave it alone for a while. Not always, but fairly often, when I look at it again after some time, the word will suddenly pop right into my head. Cool, isn't it?
