Perhaps he is actually a well endowed gigolo.
Meh, a lot of trial and error since it's usually unclear which path to the butler is the shortest, especially when you have to factor in box position and stuff. It's also odd to be told in level 7 or 8ish that simultaneous signals will cause the butler not to move, since you pretty much had had to deal with that for several levels prior.
