djinn's call [browser]

You find yourself in the resting place of the legendary lamp of the Djinn. Summon forth the Djinn's unwilling aid in order to navigate through the puzzler Djinn's Call by Alllenski for Ludum Dare 55. Controls: arrow keys, SPACE to wait, J to interact (later in the game), R to restart a level. (warning: progress is not saved)

  1. Some interesting variations - you can pick up and place some objects, you can push multiple blocks (not just one at a time), cover trigger plates, et al.

My big frustration (aside from no saves) is that there is no undo, so you have to restart a level when you make a small mistake.

  2. The last level was a chore! First you have to figure out how to keep enough of them alive, then you have to figure out how to get them all in sync, fortunately 2,5,6, and 10 share a least common multiple that so too large - 60. That's a lot of space bars but they will line up, and if you aren't in position you have to cycle through it again :)
Great game! Really makes you strategize!

  6. Late to this, but it's a good one, I get a pleasant "hacking" vibe out of arranging the solutions in the later levels. I wish it saved progress, but I always wish that.
