You find yourself trapped in a strange place... Can you solve the hidden puzzles to escape? Trace, the latest and amazing looking escape the room game by Colorbomb.
Amazing game! The most puzzles I've ever seen packed into one escape room game. It took me 1 hour and 33 minutes to beat, no walkthrough. Everything was very intuitive.
I had to restart once in the beginning because I brute-force guessed the last two symbols on the vertical slider puzzle behind the Tower of Babel painting and ended up having a piece left over in my inventory.
Haha @David B as if I posted that comment! Because I also finished in one and a half hours without help and restarted after brute forcing the last two symbols! I guess it's a bug and it's understandable considering the complex nature of the game.
seems like a sequel to scope (previously featured), but not the same developer nominally - did some rebranding or rearranging happen behind the scenes?
I had a bug with the last "equations" puzzle (for which many solutions should be possible...) and got a pop-up full of "code debug lines".... and had to re start from the beginning. The game did not want to load anything previously saved...
Apart from that it's an excellent game : interesting puzzles, just as difficult as I like them, and always "logical" so that thinking leads you to the solution. And very nice UX. Bravo.
So I wake up locked in a bathroom. Even the lid is locked down. I guess I will go in the sink. Oh no there are no taps ! What a great way to start the day.
An extremely satisfying escape room game where most of the puzzles are clever and intuitive. I liked the references to Scope, and I really like the art direction of these games.
That being said, during my first playthrough, the game crashed when I attempted to place the robot on the kite string, and even after I refreshed the page and clicked on "Resume Game", I only saw a black screen. When I started a new playthrough, it didn't crash at that same point, but it was annoying having to redo all my progress.
Overall, another great entry! Looking forward to the next one.
P.S. If you're not sure how to solve a puzzle, take a step back and try focusing on a different puzzle. There's a logical progression of clues to find and puzzles to solve.
Edit: Misremembered the name of the previous game by this person's studio
I had absolutely no bugs while playing and I loved it! Took 1 hr 42 minutes (and over 4000 clicks) but so very worth it. Every time I thought I fully solved a puzzle there was a part two of it I still had to unlock! Overall a great game! Awesome work, developers!
The view of the back of the piano was your cabbage face clue's clue. I had to replay a few times (cause I am overworked) & had too many items. The robot overlapped the lightbulb & then was in every room till used. I also saw the giraffe in the drawer unused & unneeded at that time. Finally I used an equation that would need brackets to work. I was thinking like a calculator, but they don't do equations do they?
When I click on the star in my inventory in room 2 my mouse pointer disappears.
ReplyDeleteWow what a game! Very well done, congrats to the developer.
ReplyDeleteThe game sure isn't friendly to us color blind types. Especially the color clue on the pumpkin.
ReplyDeletethe giraffe is out of control, a bug is shaking it in all directions
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a bathroom sink without taps in any home.

ReplyDeleteOne of the most brilliant games I have ever played. Absolutely incredible.
ReplyDeleteMemories of Neutral....This was the most epic escape game I've played in quite some time! Kudos to this developer!
ReplyDeleteI do not understand the hearts puzzle. I watched a walkthrough for that part and was able to get the rest but I still don't get it.
ReplyDeleteHearts puzzle had me confused too. SPOILER - The red hearts have their (imaginary) arrow pointing the way the ceiling heart arrow points.

ReplyDeleteI'm having the same issue as 15:34 Anonymous. I can't control the giraffe at all. Am I doing something wrong or is it a legitimate bug?
ReplyDeleteMust admit I got stuck a couple of times. But it was my own fault, and not the fault of the puzzles! That can't always be said. ;) Really enjoyed it!

Surely for the last of the three equations, 1-2x3=4-9 also works?
Nice one....

ReplyDeleteThe only bug I had was with the resume feature.
ReplyDeleteHalf the time I can't resume.
And when I can I have to repeat several steps.
If you can't resume it means you are playing a new version with some bugs fixed.
ReplyDeletepossible SPOILER...
ReplyDeleteYou can see the phrase "cabbage faced" through one of the windows. Is there some meaning to that I missed?

Ew!
ReplyDeleteI escaped!
I Don't understand why this is the preferred way out.
Makes me wonder who or what I am.
I was really liking the game, got pretty far into it, then had to reboot my system, and now it doesn't know I've played at all. So friggin' annoying.
ReplyDeleteThat second password really was just a mess of greater-than signs and vertical bars!?
ReplyDeleteOutstanding game! Very well done. It took me around 1hr 40min to escape - no walkthrough.
ReplyDeleteWow! The new Neutral is here, ladies and gentlemen!
ReplyDeleteI have a bug on the mathmagician game. The number tiles move wildly and disappear after I click on them to move them :(
ReplyDeleteExcellent game, took me 1.5 hour to solve but the experience is amazing.
ReplyDeleteLove the art work, the giraffe and the magician!
whats the psassword for the computorrrrrrrr
ReplyDeleteand whats the pass for the metal gate too
