you find yourself in a room [browser oldie]

For this browser oldie we're going back to 2010 when Eli Piilonen released the interactive fiction You find yourself in a room. Eli described his game as the drunken uncle of text adventures: Absuve, abrasive, and maybe a little funny.

  10. Yeah, if you can't figure out anything to do, just try random stuff. Usually it's just waiting for you to try random stuff so it can call you stupid and hopeless.

I was just laughing at the "computer" (or maybe the "game") the whole time. In the part where there's nothing to do, I started copying it, typing "You find yourself in a room." and "I am eternal." because I thought it might get pissed off. Of course, I should have known that was the point of the game: if a computer can get pissed off (or even have opinions), it's not perfect or superior to humans in every way. I've seen quite a few "human vs computer" games and stories brought on by the advent of AI, but this is probably the silliest.
