To celebrate a partnership with a dictionary Zach Gage just released a free browser version of his popular mobile word puzzler: spelltower minutes.

  1. Struggling through 5-minute mode doesn't seem worth it to unlock 1-minute mode.

  2. Enjoying the no pressure tower mode, chill :)

  3. Nice little game- enjoyed the challenge of trying to empty the board as much as possible, while still getting a decent score. 1-minute mode made me feel incredibly simpleminded. O.o

Thanks for sharing this with us, Bart!

  4. 'Delegate' was my best word, with timers off, of course. Nice puzzle. Thanks Bart :)

  6. unlocked the levels, but the first level is most fun. I might tag this one for work. It's good to have games that you can pause for a bit when you need to.

  9. So if you're like me and sometimes randomly make up words in hopes that something will work.... at the end of the game you can check your list of words and when you click on it, it'll take you to its definition on Webster. Yay!

  10. Love word games. Don't know why because they always confirm how piddling my vocabulary is.

  11. 500 point bonus for clearing the screen. I managed this once, and got the daily high score. This would be easier if the columns slid toward each other when a column disappears. A bonus for less tiles remaining would be nice too. This strangely addicting game has a yooge dictionary, and there's no penalty for trying words out of your vocabulary, like yooge.
