quick, draw! [browser]

Not really a game, but fun nevertheless: quick, draw! Can a neural network learn to recognize doodles? See how well it does with your drawings and help teach it, just by playing in this new A.I. experiment by Google.

  1. Oooooo, this is fun- it's cool it can get some of these drawings so quickly!

In fact, it gets some SO fast I'm almost willing to call shenanigans on it. :-D

  2. Anonymous C here. This is fun! I wonder what Google is really using this for. Perhaps for what they say. Or do they want to hire quick-draw artists? Just kidding. An enjoyable several minutes. Thank you, Bart!

  6. This is pretty fun - like playing Pictionary against the Speaking Clock.

I thought it was a little too good when it got all my drawings in the first round, but then I played again. So far it hasn't been able to guess blackberry, skyscraper, table, beard, hot-dog, and cellphone.

I don't know if that means I'm bad at drawing, but it's kind of interesting to see it "think" about things before it finds the right guess.

And it's fun to compare drawings, and to see what other people think will most effectively communicate the word "cellphone" or "helmet". :P

  9. I do love this but it really made me laugh because on 1 it said draw a UFO so I did and it didnt get it and said it was a lantern. The next one said draw a lantern so I drew the UFO and it said it was a UFO and not a lantern haha!

  11. It didn't recognize my basketball!

Then when I looked at all of the other basketballs, I could see why...

  12. Well, I spent about 2 hours playing - this was fun and really good practice for Drawful. But, my version(s) of Asparagus never quite seem to get the AI to guess correctly. D:

  13. fun but frustrating when your detailed drawing isn't guessed right because of the shitty drawing he learned from

  14. I can't draw things with my mouse in under 20 seconds with no eraser! Although the project seems cool, I'd rather do it with paper, a pencil, and a camera. (Although I can see how it would work well on mobile...)

@AltoFronto: If it guessed all your drawings correctly on the first try, I think that says more about you as a drawer than it says about the computer as a guesser... In other words, I want you on my Pictionary team!
