schrodinghost

A point and click game about a cat in a box being both alive and dead: schrodinghost by looPing, Valmont de Ragondas and Carduus, another entry for the 'connected worlds' themed Ludum Dare 30 game jam.

  1. Wow, that was a weird but cool game. Got confused at the pork chop leg thing for a bit, but made it through.

  2. Clever and quick. Not bad for a 72 hour project.

  3. I had just got the anvil to appear then clicked the wrong receptacle so it took me back with no way to get back to the switch...moved the cat to start over and the game locked up. Was pretty cool but I'm not waiting for it to load all over again to finish it.

  4. Not sure that the "cat seen moving must be dead" concept really fits the logic of Schrodinger's Cat...but whatever. It was interesting.

  5. Seem to have finished Schrödinger off, and that was apparently the correct ending. Really cool game, the vague ending (did I win? I don't know) is a small con.

  6. Cool game. I just hoped I could free the cat... ;)

  7. Schrodinger's cat was always a lame thought experiment. I think the whole quantum area was set back years by it. The truth is you don't know. period. Fiddling with gambling style math does not give you answers only probability.

  8. "to briefly escape my dick in a box state"? Possibly a mistranslation somewhere....

  10. Yes! We killed Schrodinger! I hate that equation even though I can use it! There are so many way you can tell about the cat and nothing about the particle! This game should be given to all college physic students!

  11. As someone that likes quantum mechanics, I loved this game xD

I believe it is a reference to the song/routine from the SNL skit of the same name...

  13. Annoying bug:
In the first screen with food, if you stand under the food, then ghost and drop the food on yourself (making kitty jump around) and then shut off the radio via the high outlet, you are not only caught, but the game reaches a non-responsive state.
Is there some "restart level" key? :/

  14. Ariel: Try keeping the cat off to the left when you drop the food (the outlets will allow you travel further than you can see), then carefully jump the box to the food once it has dropped. After eating, you should be able to jump the box to the left again, slightly. Then, after cutting off the music (while in ghost form) Schrodinger should move to directly under the high outlet. Now you can play with the switch that dropped the food again...
