angry birds
Since today the mobile hit game angry birds is available in your (recent) browser, so go and teach those pigs a lesson.
A popular smartphone time-waster doesn't necessarily make a great web game. Bart, there are better cannon games out there. Thanks though for expanding the repertoire a little.
@Pips: I can't play it on my machine it either. Audio seems to run smoothly, but screen updates are incredibly gummy, like seconds between each change.
Plays like a dream on my iPhone and iPad. Way gummy on my wife's Droid Eris. My computer is a 3 GHz Intel running Firefox on Linux.
Seems to be quite a bit of variation in performance from one platform to the next for this one. I love it when it's smooth, but have never loved it enough to buy it; just played the free versions. My wife paid for hers on her Droid; I'd have asked for my money back, given how inferior it is on that device.
First!!!
ReplyDeleteNot first. Oh well. :)
ReplyDeleteWay to much fun! You made my day with this one Bart!
ReplyDeleteI just don't get the excitement for this game. I didn't like it, but everyone with an iphone won't shut up about it.

Well, having heard so much about it, but never having seen it, I am glad of the opportunity to play it.
ReplyDeleteBut I prefer Crush The Castle.
WOW!!!!!! So glad that this game is finally on the web! ;) x
ReplyDeleteCrashed my Fx.
ReplyDeleteFirst. (: Love this game! <3
ReplyDeleteI honestly do not see how this game is popular; I loath it.
ReplyDeletewow. there is a game just like it on nick.com

Amusing but v buggy. It's struggling to run on my computer and keeps flicking to upside down and zoomed in views.

It works lovely in chrome.
ReplyDeleteI really don't see what all the fuss is about, it gets pretty boring after 2 or 3 levels
ReplyDeleteI miss the old days when all you had to do is get out of a room... =]
ReplyDeletethat the most unoriginal game i have seen for a long time
ReplyDeleteGreat...
ReplyDeleteAnother time loss in work, now by the browser, and not by the cellular.
There are similar games that I like much better. Kind of funny that this one became so popular.
ReplyDeleteWeak game, typical of iPhone (but there some subtleties on higher levels).
ReplyDeleteUnusably slow on FireFox 3.x, but runs OK on Chrome and IE 9. Probably using canvas, so should be OK on FF 4 too.
Fortunately we can expect better on the PC.
Crush the Castle, and almost any other similar game, is better than Angry Birds.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - thanks for the suggestion of Crush the Castle. I love it!
ReplyDeleteWho was the person that designed this game??
ReplyDeleteI'm with Jess, Toby, Jack and all the anonymousses (is that a word?) This game is highly overrated.
ReplyDeletebleah.
