a kitty dream

A kitty dream is another game created for the nitromejam. Wake up kitty and explore the vast expanse of the dream world in this platformer by Ryan Carag and Bill Kiley. In the meantime my game for the nitromejam is also up on the nitrome site and if you want you can rate it here.

Great fun, and good challenge in a platformer. I'm stuck on (what I believe is) the last block-push puzzle.

I found the block puzzles a bit easier when I realised the last block only needs to go through the dotted outline

Got stuck after getting dash. Can't get out anyway without dying.

go back to the left and dash up after jumping up

Ugh, defeated by another timing sequence. :(

Last diamond to recover and I cannot get the timing right for the run through the double spikes.

I'm with "-k". I'm at the last treasure (for me) -- the one with the double spikes -- and I cannot figure out how to time this at all. Frustrating, because this game has shown me that everything IS possible to solve, just not EASY to solve.

Finally got it. There's no real trick -- it's exactly what it looks like. You stand on the left, jump up, dash, then jump again before hitting the spikes. It's just the TIMING. For some reason, it was easy to get back -- I got back on the first try.

Found a secret area... After the last push block puzzle room, push two of the blocks into the area where the black square item was, creating a ledge that lets you jump into the room above. Clearly intentional, as there are things to talk to up there, as well as a view of another one of those "golden crown" - neither of which I was able to get to.

Got 1 golden crown got 1 diamond but can't find the others! Any help? The diamond I got was the double spike one. The crown was the one you see at the checkpoint before you get the dash.

What exactly is supposed to be my motivation in this game to keep risking death rather than just sleep? I found it boring after a while, especially with everything so gray.

Too much reliance on speed of hand-eye coordination for my taste. You can know what to do and still not physically be able to do it, which just becomes frustrating.

found the secret area mentioned above, but there's no one to talk to, or anything to see...? what am I missing?

What a cute little kitty! A dream where you find more places to sleep sounds safe, but not for this kitty. Always are open if you know how to get there! Thanks Bart!

I finally beat this! I saw it a while ago on the site and tried it, but quickly got stuck. This time I actually did the whole thing! I was soooo happy when I finally got past the spikes in the upper right corner of the main dream twice without dying. That and the two areas to the far left of the reddish dream were the hardest areas. I like how the pale dream provides a break from the difficult key-mashing of the other areas for some calm puzzling. It was so hard, though! And I only got one of the secrets (the weird hat looking one). Oh well, not going back and playing it again. My fingers are sore.

Oh, I guess all the secret items are hat looking things. Well, I got the one in the main dream at the bottom by where you get the dash. That's the most obvious.
