a bontegames interview with ...

After last month's interview with Robin Vencel it's time for a new interview with a game designer of the frequently featured games here on bontegames and this time the game designer is ... Mateusz Skutnik!
Mateusz is famous for his Submachine and Daymare Town point and click adventure series and has been featured dozens of times here already on bontegames and now he has accepted to be interviewed by you!
So please submit your questions for Mateusz in the comments below, I will collect them for Mateusz and pretty soon I hope to present you everything you always wanted to know about Mateusz and his games!

Looking forward to the interview!

Questions:

1) Do you have the an entire series planned out before you create your first chapter or do you continually expand a series until you feel that you've run the gamut?

2) What first sparked your interest in making your own games?

3) Are there other games or game designers that you feel have strongly influenced you?

Excellent! Excited about this! My question: is making games his fulltime job or a hobby?

There is that love for machines and there secrets and trying to solve problems with them, why technic and why so beautifull?

Do you create all of the artwork and do all of the programming of your games by yourself, or do you have some assistants?

What prompted you to choose the two-color design for the Daymare Town series of games?

Is sub 10 going to wrap everything up or is it just going to leave us with more questions that'll never be answered?

Planning on updating SNEE anytime soon? *hopeful look

Question. Do you have to design the game play differently for different regions of the world?

What was the inspiration for the Submachine series?

Also, what do you plan to do after Submachine 10 is released?

Will we ever see something similar to the '10 gnomes' series again?

Here's my question:
I read that you took all the photos for the 10 gnomes series. Are you a professional photographer outside of making games?

Sheer excitment overhere as well!
Tof Bart!

Some of my questions were asked above already.

Just to add one here:
Many of your games are so huge - both in terms of "space" and gameplay. Just to finish a game takes me several days.
Now I wonder how much time it takes you to actually work on a game from start to finish (just a rough estimation, as I assume you're working on several games at a time).

(By the way, I guess the answer to the question if designing games is a fulltime job or a hobby must at least be fulltime :-)

How come you are such a genius?
(yes, I am a huge fan)
And: is it helpful when I spend my 3 swiss francs to buy the HD version? (yes, hugely helpful for me because my pleasure then is also HD, but for you?)
Finally: thank you for doing what you do and sharing it with us.

Besides contemplating, photographing and drawing, do you work with (I mean design or bulid) machines or bulidings actually in real life?

What do you think is the best game that you designed?

What inspired you? Have you ever been in a castle?

Remember the jmtb02 forums? Do you still enjoy Fluffy? Unless that wasn't really you, of course.

Which games do you enjoy yourself?

What education did he get?

Are you autodidact or did you follow art education?

Will we see Skutnik games on mobile?
