escape from the woody room

Tesshi-e prepared another room, all woody and all halloweeny, for your point and click enjoyment. Can you escape from the woody room? (note: you can switch the language in the opening screen)

First!

The pumpkin puzzle confuses the hell out of me. I 've got the three arrows pointing at the appropriate shares as seen in the picture, but nothing is happening.

Still not sure what to do about the roman numerals of the glass contraption I hooked the curvy funnel to.

@ Mecha: Try figuring out what direction the pumpkins are facing and adjust your stems accordingly.

And out! I even managed to get the happy coin! Hooray! Thanks for sharing this one, Bart!

Thanks -k. I figured it out.

The Roman numeral lights are not straightforward at all and the screws are nearly a pixel hunt.

Has anyone figured out what the clover key was for?

-k said...

The clover key is for the other drawer on the elegant cabinet.

@ Mecha: I agree about the roman numerals being confusing. Once i realized that the arrow meant to use the colors in order (and thence their corresponding numerals) I managed it okay.

where can I use the screwdriver?

how do you open the middle cupboard?

@ Anon 13:01

You need to click on the table top above the middle cupboard (between the pumpkin device and the device with the roman numerals on it) where you can just barely notice a difference in the coloring of the table top. You'll get a zoom-in on the screws there. Once you've found them they seem obvious, but they are very hard to find the first time.

Pressing the roman numerals shows you the order of which corners to press on the picture of the girl sitting on the bench.

Put the prism on the device above the roman numbers and see the order the previous comment told of.

for the happy coin

Anonymous said...

ok I have I,II,IV and V, no III
no screw driver...any clues gratefully received :D

-k said...

@ Anon 23:19 :

Have you found the light bulb? It'll help you find the III.

Have you found the sturdy box? The box has more than one item in it, some are hidden...

Also, to anyone reading, the clover key does get used, it just doesn't disappear from your inventory.

I don't understand. D: So, is it the "MILD ESCAPE" banner on the top of the page? And if it is, which button do I press for English? (But I do want to learn Japanese sometime in the future :] )

Anonymous said...

Queen, Scroll down the page a bit, and you'll see the loading message. It takes a second to go from the loading screen to the opening screen.

I have played this game several times, and not found a happy coin. I realize you can still walk around after you unlock the door...but I'm not finding anything. I think that -K person was fibbing.

Whoops...thanks Margaret. Didn't see your clue! Nice.

Yeah. I don't fib.

And I'm out! Nice one, as always with Tesshi-e. I only had troubles with the pumpkins' puzzle!

Love the music!

Love the music!! Thank you, Bart!

Good one. Nice length, nice puzzles. All perfectly logical, but not trivial.
The bird puzzle is probably the only hard one -- easy when you know how, but hard to know what to look for first time.
The key thing with the happy coin is to notice that one of the puzzle keys changes after you open the door. If you notice the change, solving the puzzle is easy.
More please!

OK, I give up. Maybe I'm blind, but I can't seem to find any lightbulb. Can anyone give me a hint? Pretty please?

Milan said...

Finished, sans hints. Nice logical consistency to the puzzles. Looking forward to trying some of his other escape games.

-k said...

@ Gwenda:

I believe the bulb is behind the painting of the little girl (that you need the crystal machine to see where to touch it to "open" it). There's also a letter back there.

Alguien podría decir la clave del cuadro con la niña sentada? No encuentro ningun indicio...Gracias

Anonymous said...

Lo siento..no encuentro el destornillador tampoco...que me ocurre??

Anonymous said...

Okay so I can't find the "R" - any help??

Gwenda said...

Thank you -k, turns out I was making things way too complicated. Nice game though :-)
